Gabala is a small and one of the most beautiful resort cities of Azerbaijan. Everything here is made for tourists to feel as comfortable as possible while having rest there. In particular, the city administration cares about provision of local residents and guests of the resort with public transport services.
The territory of Gabala with the adjacent raions makes up some 1,500 km. One can use municipal public transport (busses and route busses), a taxi or a rent car to move around the city.
The resort is located at the distance of 200 km from Baku. You may get to the capital of Azerbaijan from Gabala by a route bus, which is the most convenient way. Quite often busses are also used to service excursions — you can book tickets for excursion travels directly with guides or via the Internet.
On November 19, 2011 an international airport was opened in Gabala, and it services all types of aircraft. From that day on, any tourist may directly get to Gabala from any part of the world, from Moscow, in particular. There is a cash-desk in the premises of the airway terminal building, with an electronic display showing flight schedule, and there is also a room for mothers with children, a VIP room, a waiting room, a café and shops.
